New Privileges for Mommy's Girl

Every now and then, something will come flying out of Elliot's mouth, and we'll all be a little stunned for a moment at the miniature version of me that just said something eerily Chandy-like. She's definitely my girl, and I love seeing her develop many interests just like mine.

Lately, she's been asking if she can stay up for a bit after we tuck her in to read her chapter books by herself. We're not giving up family story time, but I can't blame her for wanting some quiet time to chill with a good book in bed! She's a girl after my own heart! I can never fall asleep without at least a few minutes of Nook time. (I used to read those old fashioned paper books. That was so 2010.)

So as of tonight, she's allowed to read for a bit on her own. Today Junie B. Jones... Tomorrow Harry Potter! I can't wait!
